Now why would anybody in their right mind give up a successful career as a computer programmer to start roasting coffee? Because I felt like I was stagnating. When you start to feel unhappy in your role, it's time to look for the exits. Now I've landed here, trying my hardest to build a successful little company providing fresh roasted coffee to the people of northeast Kansas.
Who is the boss? A husband, step-father, and veteran of the Navy. I taught myself how to program computers and that paid the bills until now. Now it is time to branch out and take the reigns. Starting your own business is both exciting and terrifying at the same time.
Meet David, the owner and operator of Red Bearded Bison Coffee. He is a husband, step-father, computer programmer, and veteran of the United States Navy.
His goal is to provide freshly roasted coffee to local residents. That's it.
After years of drinking Navy and store bought coffee, my wife introduced me to what actual good coffee tastes like. There is no turning back now.
